A new chapter

If you know me, you probably know that I’m a big believer in continuing education. As a matter of fact, I consider it a tragedy that coaches and trainers in my country (or most countries for that matter) are not obligated to pursue in CE. I’m not going into a rant here, though.

For me, CE came in the form of privately run certifications (like FMS, Precision Nutrition, Exos or Perform Better) and institutional courses and accreditations (such as the ASCA accreditation or the UKSCA workshops). My two year national trainer education (BSPA) serves as a base for these things.

Recently, I’ve grown rather wary of privately run courses and certifications. While some are great, others are clearly exclusively aimed at making money for the provider. Therefore, I decided to do less (in terms of absolute numbers), but focus only on gold-standard courses and certifications such as the ASCC, ASCA and CSCS in the future.

Now it’s time to take it even a step further. Although I’m still pursuing the CSCS and ASCC, I’m tackling an even bigger project. As of today, I’m officially a master student in the program „Training and Sport“ at the university of applied science in Wr. Neustadt.

I’m sure that this step will help me become an even better coach. Stay tuned for updates on the situation. So long,

Don’t get hurt
